ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
Road accidents often result in more or less serious bodily injuries and damage to the vehicle. People injured in such an event may claim compensation and/or damages for harm suffered in an amount appropriate to the extent of their loss. Unfortunately, insurance companies often avoid paying the injured party the full amount of post-accident benefits.
Our firm provides comprehensive legal assistance to people injured
in road traffic accidents. We analyse the circumstances of the incident, identify possible claims, gather documentation and represent clients in negotiations
with the insurer and in court proceedings.
We help injured persons in cases including:
- car accidents,
- road collisions,
- motorcycle accidents,
- pedestrians being hit by vehicles,
- accidents involving bicycles and scooters,
- accidents involving passengers,
- accidents caused by an uninsured or unidentified perpetrator,
- incidents causing permanent damage to health,
- cases involving the death of a loved one in an accident.
Types of compensation after an accident – for:
- physical injuries causing damage to health,
- a lower standard of living after the death of loved ones,
- potentially lost income, e.g. due to temporary inability to work,
- the cost of legal representation,
- the cost of restoring the vehicle to its pre-accident condition,
- the cost of expert witnesses,
- suffering resulting from the incident,
- damages for harm suffered after the death of a loved one,
- an annuity due to reduced prospects for future development, permanent inability to work or increased living costs resulting from the accident; instead of an annuity, a one-off lump-sum compensation may also be awarded,
- the cost of treatment and rehabilitation,
- funeral costs,
- an annuity for persons whom the deceased voluntarily supported or towards whom they had a maintenance obligation.
We approach every case individually, analysing its details carefully. This allows us to offer clients appropriate ways of solving their problems. In the initial phase of cooperation, we determine the appropriate amount of accident compensation and what types of claims the injured party is entitled to.
Our aim is to effectively pursue benefits that reflect the real consequences of the accident.
Before going to court, we first negotiate with the insurance company of the person responsible for the accident. It often happens that the parties reach an agreement already at this stage, as a result of which the injured receive appropriate post-accident compensation. If amicable negotiations do not bring the desired result, the remaining option is to start court proceedings. We take responsibility for preparing the claim and filing it with the competent court. We also help clients gather evidence confirming their right to compensation in a specific amount. We represent the interests of the injured throughout the court proceedings.
